his mouth move

his lips
you couldn't hear
the music
just a continuous hum of wind and flesh

They were the fastest band
and they played faster every time
and their songs were shorter
and their sets ended sooner
every time
until they reached perfection
the fastest speed
an instant of music which was eternal:
the smallest fragment of time
holding all the notes

So fast in fact
that our eyes fail to see
and our ears fail to hear
